CEMPYRAMID Obtained TS16949 Certificate!

CEMPYRAMID obtained the TS16949 Certifcate! An achievement that is celebrated by us and by our customers. It is a milestone in the implementation of our strategy to become the market leader in IC electroplating through quality assurance and quality management and full customer-centered approaches. A tremendous effort was made by staff and advisors to ensure our systems were reviewed in detail and improved over the last one year to fullfil all criteria set by the TS Certification body in Singapore. With this achievement, CEMPYRAMID has now become a preferred supplier of many large players in the electroplating market in Asia. As part of actions implemented to obtain the TS16949 certifcate by our company, our R&D facilities - also named the chemicals innovation laboratory - in Singapore were expanded. This is part of a significant effort and investment that was made by the company to boost research activities aiming at developing new products, green products and customization of chemicals. The company is dedicated to expand its spectrum of electroplating chemicals to address the increasing and emerging new demands of current and new customers, and to ensure further enhancemment of its current range of chemical products. The expanded laboratory provides the team of chemists all major equipment to analyse production-line solutions upon the request of customers for optimization of performance. The facilities in Singapore are also used for training of CEMPYRAMIDs own staff and those of its customers.  All in all it is not about the certificate, but rather about us being a reliable supplier that reduces risks in the supply chain of our customers while remaining a partner for cost-effective deliverables.
 
Energy/Cost Saving Solutions

CEMPYRAMID is about to receive its first contract from a major MNC in Malaysia to modify a current electroplating machine such that significant energy-savings can be achieved and - therefore - costs and carbon emissions (causing global warming) can be reduced. The CEMPYRAMID engineers have developed methodologies to carry out assessments of current energy consumtpion in plating machines and adjustments to reduce energy consumption without compromising quality of the output. For example, one single machine with its normal frequency of operation could save about 61,010 kWh per year, which is equivalent to a cost saving of RM 17,000 (or SGD 7,000) per year. What it takes is the maintenance budget to be utilized in a wisely manner, vision and leadership of a company to go green and to reduce operating costs. On the green-side of this technical adjustment in the machine, it also means a reduction of about 27.7 tons of Carbon emissions per year helping against global warming! Assuming that there are 500 of these types of machines operated in eletroplating facilities in Asia, our experts estimate that the energy-saving solution developed by CEMPYRAMID could reduce emissions of more than 13,750 tons of Carbon-equivalents per year. This is comparable with the emissions per year of 10,000 cars or 5,000 households.
